May 5, 2022 – Regular Council Meeting

The Public Hearing for the budget for fiscal year 2022/2023 was held at 5:45 PM. There was no public participation.
The regular council meeting convened at 6:01 PM.
Nancy Tuinstra was present for public participation on behalf of the Menominee County Library to request street closure for two events being held in June. The Council approved the closures.
Mike Zemba was present for public participation on behalf of the Mid-County Antique Power club to confirm dates of lawnmower pulls to be held at Erickson Park.

A report was given regarding the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Bills totaling $95,454.03 were approved.
Motion carried to purchase an Elgin Pelican street sweeper from MacQueen Equipment.

Motion carried to adopt the fiscal budget for 2022/2023.

The regular council meeting convened at 5:00 p.m.
Demolition of buildings located at S325 Bluff Street will proceed.
Motion to support the Menominee County Road Commission Resolution seeking ARPA funding died for lack of support.
Motion to approve parcel reconfiguration of 55-052-220-001-11 on Maple Street carried.

Pauline Leaveck was present for public participation on behalf of the Mid-County Events Group to discuss funding for advertising for the promotion of local area events. Heather and Dan Wesley were also present to discuss the return of Concerts in the Park.

Connie Westrich was present for public participation on behalf of the Lion’s Club to discuss planting a tree dedicated to Richard Lesperance. Mike Zemba was also present on behalf of the Mid-County Antique Power club to discuss lawn mower pulls at Erickson Park.
