May 5, 2022 – Regular Council Meeting

The Public Hearing for the budget for fiscal year 2022/2023 was held at 5:45 PM. There was no public participation.
The regular council meeting convened at 6:01 PM.
Nancy Tuinstra was present for public participation on behalf of the Menominee County Library to request street closure for two events being held in June. The Council approved the closures.
Mike Zemba was present for public participation on behalf of the Mid-County Antique Power club to confirm dates of lawnmower pulls to be held at Erickson Park.
A report was given by the Sheriff’s Department.
A report was given by the City Assessor.
A report was given regarding the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Bills totaling $95,454.03 were approved.
Motion carried to purchase an Elgin Pelican street sweeper from MacQueen Equipment.
Motion carried to approve parcel reconfiguration of W304 G12.
Motion carried to approve the Treasurer’s Report.
Motion carried to adopt the fiscal budget for 2022/2023.
Motion carried to set the millage rate at 11.5 mills for fiscal year 2022/2023 (no change).
Motion carried to opt out of PA 95.
Motion carried to award Peshtigo Asphalt the contract to patch South Drive and alley.
Motion carried to have Ed’s Concrete replace the sidewalk in front of the Post Office.
Motion carried to contribute funds toward the Daggett 4th of July Celebration.

The next regular City Council meeting will be held June 2, 2022.
