December 2, 2021 – Regular Council Meeting

The regular council meeting convened at 6:00 p.m.
Public comments were received regarding the planting of a tree in honor of Richard Lesperance.
A report was given by the Sheriff’s Department.
A report was given by the assessor.
A written report was read regarding the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Bills totaling $133,988.73 were approved.
The City’s offer to purchase a dilapidated building on Bluff Street was accepted by one owner. The City’s attorney is drafting necessary transfer documents. Further attempts to contact the second owner are being made.
The Law Enforcement Protection Agreement with the Menominee County Sheriff’s Department was approved.
The City voted to opt out of the Publicly Funded Health Insurance Contribution Act.
Perry Beaudoin and Tim Chaney were appointed to the Board of Review.
Committee reports were given.
The meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
The next regular City Council meeting will be held on January 6, 2022.
